When you click on the “Search” button in your browser, it           takes you to a search engine that you are not familiar with.
       You are unable to browse the internet or browsing is           slow.
       Your computer frequently crashes or has blue screens.
       Your computer is running slower than usual whether you are           on the internet or not.

     The most common way to become infected is while browsing the internet. While browsing, you are suddenly confronted with a pop-up window promising you something. Something like “Protect yourself from spyware”, “Your computer may be infected with a virus”, “Free tool to help you find things on the internet faster” and your only choices are the “Okay” button or the red “X”.  No matter what you choose, the pop-up window will install the program.
